Food Justice Summit

in Sustainability in Indigenous issues in Land and Water Use

This free public program is part of “Challenging Global Impacts of the Agrochemical Industry: 2016 Food Justice Summit” (Jan. 15-20 on four Hawaiian islands - Hawai’i Island, Maui, Kaua’i and O’ahu). Hawaiian and international food justice advocates weave a story of how local food and environmental struggles are connected and how we can start restoring a fairer, more healthy food system. Hosted by Andre Perez, Hawaiian cultural practitioner, community activist and co-founder and caretaker of Hanakēhau Learning Farm. Location: UH-Mānoa (room TBA). Organized by Hawai`i Alliance for Progressive Action (HAPA) and Pesticide Action Network (PAN) North America. The first 20 people to sign in will receive free HAPA t-shirts.
